By Flashcard Exchange I guess you mean www.flashcardexchange.com. I didn't know about this site before reading your comment, but I think if I had known I would have chosen jMemorize anyway because it is completely free.
One other reason I chose JMemorize over some other flashcard software that has been written specifically for learning Chinese. Is that the other software I looked at didn't allow me to have complete sentences on the cards.
I also like the Leitner system and its variations that jMemorize uses.
Flashcard exchange does look good, it was matt's post that put me on to it.
I think I will use it alongside ZDT. I use ZDT because of the neat dictionary and annotator but also becasue of the open source and that it is built in a way that makes it easy to extend (which I will do when I have more time).

Why did you choose this flashcard program, and not, say, Flashcard Exchange or one of the others.
